We’ve all heard it a million times …. Life is hard.
The BIG QUESTION IS ...who decided that life had to be hard?
Did it come from the guilt and shame of the original sin that life had to be hard as their own penance or punishment for not trusting, believing or surrendering to their Divine?
This simple statement of ‘LIFE IS HARD’ has been passed down from generation to generation as the ‘gospel truth.’
My question to you is what makes the statement that ‘life is hard’ the truth in your world?
* Is it because you have been told that ‘life is hard’ since before you can remember?
* Is it because you tell your own loved ones and those you have influence over that ‘life is hard’?
* Could it be because ‘life is hard’ seems more like a logical solution than having to believe that we have control over our own actions and that life really could be easy?
Our human brains believe everything we tell ourselves.
When we are told over and over and over again that life is hard, we begin to tell ourselves that same message.
…and (unfortunately, in this case!) we are programmed to believe what we tell ourselves.
Most of us believe we will never be wrong and those things we believe as ‘gospel truth’ could never have another perspective.
I am asking you to set aside what you ‘know as gospel truth’ and allow yourself to sink into a child-like wonder of ‘what could be’.
I am asking that you look through a different lens or put on your ‘rose-colored’ glasses to see life for what it could be and not for what we have been told it is.
Through my own life experiences, I was programmed to believe that life was hard.
I believed that healing also had to be hard.
I was programmed to think that anything worth having was HARD and had to be earned through blood, sweat and tears ……or I didn’t deserve it.
It took a major breakdown in my own life and SCREAMING at the top of my lungs asking ‘WHY does life have to be so hard?!?!’ for me to receive the most unexpected response.
A very faint voice responded,, ‘YOU make it hard. Life is designed to be filled with ease, grace, flow and love when YOU allow it to be so.’
Choose joy.
Choose love.
Choose EASY. …and they shall come.
Life is what we make of it. We can choose to make it hard, grueling, hateful, disappointing and a grind.
OR we can choose to make it easy, beautiful and full of gratitude.
We CAN CHOOSE ease, grace, flow and love.
The choice is up to you.
Wishing you the open-mindedness to choice easy.
